Martinez sits in Columbia County, in the built-up belt between Evans and the Richmond County line, and it behaves like what it is: a place people live and drive out of. The Washington Road corridor carries a large share of that traffic, and the daily run into Augusta and back is where most Martinez windshields collect their damage.
