Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026.

Note for the site owner: this is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Update the "Analytics and tracking" and "Who we share with" sections to name exactly which tools you actually install (analytics, ads, call tracking, form services), and have it reviewed before launch. Note that customers in Aiken and Edgefield counties are South Carolina residents, so South Carolina consumer provisions may apply alongside Georgia's.

The short version

We collect what we need to quote your glass, book the appointment and do the work. We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing you did not ask for.

1. Who we are

Augusta Auto Glass Co provides mobile windshield repair and auto glass replacement across the Central Savannah River Area — Richmond, Columbia, Burke, McDuffie and Lincoln counties in Georgia, and Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina. This policy covers the website at augustaautoglassco.com and information collected in the course of providing service.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Your name and phone number
  • Your email address, if you provide one
  • The location where the vehicle will be worked on
  • Vehicle details: year, make, model, trim, and VIN where needed to identify the correct glass
  • A description of the damage, and any photographs you send
  • Your insurer, policy number and claim number, if you are claiming
  • Company or fleet name, if applicable
  • Billing information necessary to process payment

Information collected automatically

  • Standard web server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps
  • Referring website, if you arrived from a link or a search

3. How we use it

  • To quote the correct glass for your specific vehicle
  • To schedule and carry out the work at your location
  • To contact you about your quote or appointment
  • To order the correct part from a supplier
  • To arrange ADAS calibration where your vehicle requires it
  • To submit and process an insurance claim on your behalf, where you have asked us to
  • To produce invoices and service records, and to support any warranty claim
  • To meet legal, tax and insurance obligations
  • To understand which parts of this website are useful

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information
  • We do not rent or trade contact lists
  • We do not send marketing messages you have not asked for
  • We do not share your data with third parties except as described below

5. Who we share with

We share information only where necessary to deliver the service:

  • The installer assigned to your job, including an independent contractor where the work is referred
  • Glass suppliers and distributors, limited to what is needed to identify and order the correct part
  • Calibration partners, where your vehicle requires a calibration we complete with a third party
  • Your insurance carrier or their glass administrator, where you have asked us to handle a claim
  • Payment processors for card transactions
  • Fleet or account holders, where you are operating their vehicle and they are responsible for the invoice
  • Legal authorities, where we are required to, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim

6. Analytics and tracking

This site may use standard web analytics to understand traffic and page performance. Any such tools will be listed here once installed. If advertising or call-tracking tools are added, this section will be updated to name them and describe what they collect.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from using this site or from calling us.

7. Photographs of your vehicle

Photographs of damage — whether you send them or we take them — are used to quote the work, to document the vehicle's condition before and after, and to support an insurance claim where one is being made. We will not publish a photograph of your vehicle, or use it in any marketing material, without asking you first.

8. Text messages and calls

If you call or text us, we retain your number to respond and to maintain a service record. If we text you about your appointment, that is transactional communication about the job you requested, not marketing. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages.

9. How long we keep it

Job and invoice records are retained as long as necessary for warranty, accounting, tax and legal purposes — typically several years, because a workmanship warranty claim can arise long after the fitting. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of whichever tool is in use. Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept only as long as needed to respond.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as full card numbers by email or through the website form.

11. Your choices

  • Access: ask what information we hold about you
  • Correction: ask us to fix anything inaccurate
  • Deletion: ask us to delete information, subject to records we must retain for legal, tax or warranty reasons
  • Opt out: ask not to be contacted other than about an active job

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below.

12. Children

This site is directed at vehicle owners and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
