Terms of Service

Last updated 2026.

Note for the site owner: this is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a Georgia attorney before launch — and note that work performed in Aiken and Edgefield counties is performed in South Carolina, so the governing law and consumer provisions may need to account for both states. Adjust the warranty, liability and payment sections to match how the business actually operates.

1. Who these terms cover

These terms apply to the website at augustaautoglassco.com and to auto glass services provided by Augusta Auto Glass Co ("we," "us," "our") to customers ("you"). By requesting a quote, booking work or using this site, you agree to them.

2. What we do

We provide mobile windshield repair, windshield replacement and other automotive glass services at the customer's location across the Central Savannah River Area — Richmond, Columbia, Burke, McDuffie and Lincoln counties in Georgia, and Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina. We operate as a mobile service and do not maintain a walk-in facility.

3. Quotes and scheduling

A quote is based on the vehicle details you give us — year, make, model and trim — and on the glass and features that vehicle actually carries. If the vehicle turns out to differ from what was described, or carries sensors, heating elements, acoustic glass, a heads-up display or a camera that was not disclosed, the price may change. You will be told before any work begins.

Appointment times are good-faith estimates. Weather, traffic, glass supply and earlier jobs running long can all move an appointment, and we will tell you when that happens.

4. Site and weather requirements

Mobile glass work requires a reasonably level surface, room to work around the vehicle, and conditions dry enough for adhesives and primers to bond correctly. We may decline or reschedule work where the location is unsuitable, unsafe or too wet, and our technician has final authority on that.

You are responsible for disclosing site access requirements in advance, including gated properties, controlled-access sites, parking restrictions and any site safety rules that apply.

5. Adhesive cure and safe drive-away time

Bonded glass is installed with urethane adhesive that must reach a specified strength before the vehicle is safe to drive. That period is set by the adhesive manufacturer and varies with product, temperature and humidity.

You will be told the safe drive-away time for your vehicle and you must not drive before it has elapsed. We are not responsible for any consequence of a vehicle being driven before the stated time, or for damage caused by ignoring the aftercare instructions provided — including removing retention tape early, pressure washing the glass edges, or slamming doors with the vehicle fully sealed.

6. Driver assistance systems and calibration

Many vehicles carry a forward-facing camera mounted behind the windshield that supports features such as lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. Where the manufacturer requires recalibration after glass replacement, that calibration is part of the job.

Some calibrations require a controlled environment that cannot be reproduced at a mobile location. Where that applies to your vehicle we will tell you, and the work may need to be completed at a suitable facility.

Do not rely on any driver assistance feature until you have been told calibration is complete. These systems are aids, not substitutes for driver attention, at all times.

7. Glass, parts and existing condition

Glass may be OEM or aftermarket. You will be told which is being quoted and fitted. Both types are supplied to applicable safety standards; the differences are explained on our OEM vs aftermarket glass page.

Vehicles are frequently found to have pre-existing conditions that only become visible once the old glass is removed — most commonly corrosion in the pinch weld, or a previous installation done badly. Bonding new glass onto a corroded or improperly prepared frame is not a sound repair. Where we find this, we will stop, explain it, and agree with you how to proceed before continuing. Additional cost may apply.

Old trim, moldings, clips and cowl panels can be brittle with age and can break on removal despite reasonable care. Where replacements are needed, that will be raised with you.

8. Repair versus replacement

A resin repair restores strength to damaged glass and stops the break spreading. It is not a cosmetic restoration: a visible blemish and slight optical distortion normally remain, and on older or contaminated damage the result is less good. A repair may occasionally fail to arrest a break, or a break may spread during the repair process, in which case replacement becomes necessary. That risk is explained before a repair is attempted.

9. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless other terms have been agreed in advance in writing. Fleet and account customers may be invoiced under separately agreed terms.

10. Insurance claims

Where your carrier permits it, we can bill your insurer directly. We are not your insurer's agent and we do not decide coverage. You remain responsible for any deductible and for any amount your carrier declines to pay.

Coverage differs by state. South Carolina's statutory waiver of the deductible on automobile safety glass for drivers carrying comprehensive coverage remains in effect through 31 December 2026; from 1 January 2027 insurers are no longer required to waive it. Georgia has no equivalent requirement. Nothing on this website is a promise about what your policy covers — only your insurer can tell you that.

11. Warranty

Glass we supply carries the manufacturer's warranty where one applies. Our workmanship is warranted against leaks and wind noise arising from the installation, for the period stated on your invoice.

Warranty does not cover new impact damage, stress cracks originating from a new impact, customer-supplied glass, damage caused by driving before the safe drive-away time, consequences of ignoring aftercare instructions, pre-existing corrosion or body damage, or faults unrelated to the work performed.

12. Scope limitations

Some work cannot properly be completed at a mobile location — including certain static ADAS calibrations, significant corrosion repair, body or frame work, and glass fitted to vehicles requiring specialist equipment. We will tell you when your job falls into that category rather than attempt it in unsuitable conditions.

13. Vehicle contents and access

Please remove valuables and clear the dashboard, mirror mounts and the area around the glass before your appointment. We are not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle. After a break-in, broken glass may persist in seat rails, vents and trim cavities beyond what any cleanup can reach.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from services provided is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost income, missed appointments, rental costs or vehicle downtime.

15. Website content

Information on this website, including the guides, is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice, insurance advice, or a substitute for inspection of your specific vehicle. Laws are amended and insurance terms change; verify anything that matters with a qualified professional before relying on it.

Price ranges mentioned anywhere on this site are general market context, not quotes. The only binding figure is the one quoted for your vehicle.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in effect at the time you book work is the one that applies to that work.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Richmond County, Georgia, except where mandatory consumer protection law in the state where the work was performed provides otherwise.
